Rottner Services South Africa (trading as “Rottner Security”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your personal information and complying with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

We collect and process personal information that you provide when you:

place an order or create an account on our WooCommerce store;
make a payment via PayFast;
contact us by email, phone, or contact form.

This may include your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, order details and — via PayFast — payment-related information. We do not receive or store full card numbers.

We may also collect limited technical data (e.g., IP address, device/browser information, pages viewed) and conversion data through Google Ads to measure and improve website performance.

2. How we use your information

to process, fulfil and deliver your orders;
to communicate about purchases, support queries and returns;
to operate, secure and improve our website and services;
to comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We currently do not run a newsletter or direct marketing list.

3. Payments

Online payments are processed by PayFast, a secure third-party payment gateway. Card details are captured on PayFast’s systems and are not stored on our servers. For details on their processing, please refer to PayFast’s own privacy notices.

We may share personal information with trusted service providers who help us operate our website and deliver orders (e.g., hosting, couriers, payment processing, analytics). These parties must process the information in line with POPIA and our instructions.

5. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above, and as required by applicable laws (e.g., tax and accounting record-keeping).

We apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we continually improve our controls.

7. Your POPIA rights

You may, subject to lawful limitations:

request access to the personal information we hold about you;
request correction or deletion of inaccurate or unnecessary information;
object to certain processing or withdraw consent where we rely on consent;
lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).
